Mathew Aitken’s (aka DJ Funku) love for music went through the roof in 2007 when he picked up his 1st set of CDJS’s, a move that has definetly paid off! >From throwing successful parties and events around his local area, he quickly began establishing a name for himself. From there he went onto bigger and better things and started looking into the club scene, where his career really kicked off. He has played all through the Valley at clubs such as Empire/Mono/Gpo/the Beat/Press Club, in the city at Uber/Little Jumbos/the Pato and out into the suburbs at places like Squeeze Club/Pressure Bar/M-Bar/144. Not content on keeping it local, Funku has taken his talent to the shores of Cancun, Mexico with 3 shows at Congo's Night Club and 2 at Splice, one of Cancun’s premier day clubs. He is consistently wowing crowds with his technically brilliant,distinctly unique mixing style and energy behind the decks. His sets are always fresh with the latest in house/electro all with a very unique up beat sound that keeps the dance floor in a frenzy and wanting more!
