Creamfields has established itself as the jewel in the crown of UK dance festivals since it began life in 1998. The first one-day event took place in Winchester, before the festival moved to Speke Airfield in Cream's spiritual home of Liverpool. The brainchild of James Barton, founder of the Cream clubbing brand, Creamfields is the most successful UK festival to have been exported overseas with Creamfields events having taken place as far afield as Spain, Ireland, Argentina, Turkey, Mexico City, Moscow, Czech Republic, Chile, Brazil and Poland. Held on the August bank holiday weekend, it rapidly gained its rightful reputation as THE closing party of the summer, with its ever-impressive array of major live acts and world class DJs including Kasabian , Fatboy Slim, Carl Cox, Groove Armada, Erick Morillo and The Chemical Brothers. 2010 will be bringing Creamfield to Australia for the first time, featuring both up-and-coming and iconic dance acts over some of the country’s most popular venues. After causing mayhem at Stereosonic Festival 2009, The Bloody Beetroots are headliners for this first time experience, returning with their Death Crew 77 full 6 piece band, A fusion of punk, rock & electronic. Next is the popular Swedish House Mafia group Steve Angello who is one of the most successful house DJs in the world. Get ready as the biggest music circus in the world finally arrives to our fields! It’s the merging of two powerhouses once more; Australia’s best known youth entertainment brand onelove and Australian festival stalwarts Hardware Corporation / Totem Industries. http://www.creamfields.com.au/ |
